The
Nicol Street Hostel is located in the port city of
Nanaimo, on the east coast of Vancouver Island. We
are 110 km north of Victoria, (49 10' 178"N and -123
55' 84"W). Nanaimo is 52 square miles in area, or
134.7 square kilometers with a population of approximately
130,000.
Nanaimo has many attractions and leisure activities
available for travellers such as hiking, biking, kayaking,
diving, shopping, arts and culture, adventure tours,
sightseeing and, of course, world-class hostel accommodation!
Nanaimo is centrally located on Vancouver Island
and can be used as a gateway to other destinations
on the Island - Duncan, Chemainus and Victoria to
the south; Tofino and Ucluelet to the west; Parksville,
Qualicum Beach, Courtenay, Campbell River, Port Hardy,
